Cape Town glistens at the southern toe of the African continent. Tourist brochure-views at Blaauwberg Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are within easy driving distance of "The Mother City." The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve provides sweeping sea vistas, hiking trails and wildlife encounters. On a more somber note, travelers can visit Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 27 years.

A working artists studio situated in trendy Woodstock where you can meet the artists, see how things are made, enjoy browsing our store for unique handmade gifts and souvenirs - and book a private art lesson if you have time! We are a social enterprise, so your support helps us keep 20 previously disadvantaged artists employed.
South Africans are found selling wire animals everywhere that tourists stop. Don’t buy any until you go to Streetwires. Their animals are so much more skillfully made than any you will see on the streets. We were in CapeTown on a Saturday so we did not get to see the artisans making their products. That would make this stop even better. But we were thrilled with our purchases, and they packed up boxes of treasure to send home for us. Prices are reasonable, and the people working there are friendly and very helpful. A great stop!

The Woodstock Moto Co is a Community Moto Garage, coffee shop and retail space that provides a unique experience based around a Do-it-Yourself motorcycle workshop. The WMC provides the space, tools and knowledge for people of all backgrounds to learn how to work on and maintain their own bikes, in an open and welcoming environment. There is a great social aspect of The WMC or as we call it The Moto Family, where members and non-members alike can catch up, talk bikes and enjoy a great cup of coffee, snacks, toasted sandwiches and hot dogs.

Completed artworks are displayed in the gallery, where the work is for sale. This space also house ZStitch, a collection of very unique handmade handbags by Zelda Hamilton and there is also a vintage shop, trading as Mr Collectable.
I had the pleasure of visiting this space last week. What a wonderful place. It is an art studio, but also a vintage shop and a very unique handbag shop. The resident artist Alex Hamilton is very friendly and keen to share his stories and show you his work and his creative process. There are ;its of art for sale at really affordable prices. The collectables are great, and the handbags, made by his wife, Zelda are very unique and beautiful. She makes them from vintage tapestries and old retro fabric. I had to buy one, Could not resist. This place is a bit hidden away, but once you found it you won't be sorry. Really a great find.
