Well worth the trip out here - we did the circuit hike. First half pretty steep up and a bit muddy. Most descriptions didn’t mention but there are quite a few places to have a meal on the way including the farm at the top, as well as to refill water. Also great scenic picnic spots so worth coming for the day.

The Jardin Botanique de Neuchatel offers a wide variety of plant life from several different regions, including the local species. The plants and trees are carefully labeled as is the garden itself. There is an indoor terrarium that offers a wide variety of plantlife as well. there is also a cafe on site.

Really beautiful lake promenade in the center of Neuchatel, it is possible to sit on concrete or also in the pebbles of the pebbles beach. Directly access to the water from the center so you can swim! But limited space. Visited in winter, a sunny and warm day and everyone was sitting outside enjoying the sun, it was an awesome feeling. Amazing sunset too.

We walked through the Gorge from the station of Boudry up to the station in Noiraigue. It took us about a bit more than 4 h, including a lunch break in between. Particularly pitoresque in October with all the trees changing colour. We didn't rush, so maybe in Summer you can start a bit earlier and then combine the hike with another 3 h around the Creux du Van (which splits off at some point close to Noiraigue). The gorge has many nice little and larger waterfalls along the way, and quite a narrow canyon at the start close to Boudry.

This central green space on the lake promenade and opening towards the old city boast a very interesting small exhibit of sculptures, some of them by well known artists. From the port it's a 10 minute promenade along the lake, from the central square a few minutes crossing some busy streets.
