It is no surprise that I seem to be the first text in English as this is a Museum art facility which has a personal connection to modern Swiss history. As a teach at a Cantonal college in Luzern Canton, I am lucky to go on some unusual trips as part of being a teacher at the college. We had an educational walk as a goodbye to four of our number, we got to the radios station by walking across fields from bus 81 I found out that the radios station, Radio Beromünster has been they only free German speaking radio station during WWII which mean southern Germans had listened to on pain if arrest and even death. After it was closed it was sold to a local Luzern artist for a nominal fee who has turned it into a contemporary art centre with displays by many contemporary artists This in itself is quite interesting but the centre can also be rented for events including parties as long as the event accepts a one hour presentation and tour of the site I think Sundays it is open to General public but groups can make arrangement when they want. After two hours we walked on paths across fields to Beromünster and it’s outdoor cathedral gardens A very surreal day! This is typical of the unknown Switzerland and love.
