Quaint alpine villages and great skiing entice travelers to the Grisons. The sparsely populated region of eastern Switzerland contains the source of the Rhine and Inn rivers, 140 square miles of glaciers and dense pine forests. Join the ski action at the resorts of St. Moritz, Davos and Arosa or stake a lofty claim with a visit to Juf, which boasts the highest altitude of any inhabited village in the Alps. In summer, take a hike through the Engadine Valley in the unspoiled beauty of Swiss National Park.

The Museum of Engadine Culture was built in 1906, on the initiative of Riet Campell, a passionate collector. It looks at first glance like an age-old Engadine house. The outside has all the typical features: the sgraffito-style door and window frames, the Romansh inscriptions, and the traditional oriel window. In fact, the house is little more than a hundred years old and was constructed as museum by the famous architect Nicolaus Hartmann Junior of St. Moritz. The panelled living rooms, or stüvas as they are known locally, have come from farmhouses and village houses in the Engadine and surrounding valleys. They give you a wonderful insight into the lifestyles of affluent local families over the last five centuries.

Excellent museum! Many great ideas for our own Winter Sports Museum! Well stocked with all things Winter sports. The old sleds were amazing as well as the original lifts and gondolas. Staff was extremely helpful and polite. We purchased two wooden sled models which are a big hit at home. Thank you.

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938) lived in Davos from 1918 until his death in 1938. Davos and its surroundings inspired him to a large number of important works. The Kirchner Museum Davos offers visitors the remarkable experience of viewing the art of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner in the place it was created.
The building is like a ice cube in the landscape. The is a very interesting film about Ludwig Kirchner, beautiful paintigs and a interesting exhibition about the contemporary swiss artist Martin Disler and his late art works.you cannot leave Davos without visiting the museum
