Strathnairn Arts is a not for profit arts association supported by the ACT Government providing working spaces, studios and facilities for a range of artists, crafts people and community groups. In addition to the Arts Galleries, you will find a SHOP and cafe set in a 1920's rural homestead on 9.5 hectares on the Western fringe of Belconnen overlooking the Brindabellas. Strathnairn Arts has been used by artists for decades but still remains one of Canberra's best kept secrets.

The Drill Hall Gallery provides the Canberra community and Australian National University with a selective program of high quality exhibitions of Australian and international art. The Gallery supports the arts in the Canberra region by presenting exhibitions developed in conjunction with the Australian National University’s wide-ranging academic interests and or to coincide with major conferences and public events. National and international exhibitions – and works from the University’s own extensive collection – are features of the Gallery’s program. Sidney Nolan’s 9-panel panorama, 'Riverbend' (recently nominated among the ten must-see art treasures of Canberra) is on permanent display in the RIVERBEND ROOM. The Drill Hall Gallery closes over the Christmas period, with exact closure dates varying each year. The Gallery will close on December 16 2018 and will reopen on February 21 2019.

PhotoAccess is a unique space for making, sharing and discovering creative photography and photo-based art. We’re a place where local, interstate and overseas artists, curators and audiences gather to explore how contemporary image-making shapes our world. PhotoAccess is home to the only publicly-accessible darkroom in the ACT and wider NSW region and supports and encourages the development of contemporary darkroom practice. Located at the Manuka Arts Centre, PhotoAccess is a non-profit, member-based organisation. Each year, we present a dynamic program of exhibitions featuring emerging and established photographers and photo-artists, together with accessible public talks, events and performances and artist residencies that foster critical debate about, understanding of and engagement with image practice.
