Was passing through the Ingleburn area and needed to pass some time so i checked Ingleburn on trip advisor and all that came up was a Holy family catholic church with 2 5 star reviews Amen to that and also 2 cosmetic places and a massage place ?! Then Google searched it and Ingleburn Reserve came up. Was only about a 5 minute drive from the station where i was. Is amazing that from a built up area to 5 minutes away it was just massive blocks of land from the eye can see, was definitely what i was after :)!! The past few days have been bit on the rainy side so was quite suprised on what a perfect sunny morning it was with relatively complete blue skies :). Pulled into the Reserve and I was the only one to be seen. The Park was perfect for a chilled weekend with the family for a bbq lunch or picnic :). It had about about 10 benches with tables in total about half with roofs and half without, they had covered bbq with 2 hot plates, a playground for the kids and toilet block :). Plenty of parking around the road and even 2 disabled spots facing the park itself :). I parked at the entrance upon first view of the playground to the left and right beside to where I parked was the entrance to the 4 minute walk down to the Ingleburn Weir. Was green and nice right up the top but as soon as you were heading down you could see the aftermath of a bush fire almost all the way down to the weir. There were 2 seperate paths up top both to the left and right, the right was a cool little walk through some scrub to a smaller spot with 3 tables and the left path ended after about 50 metres. The Weir itself on the sunny morning that i was able to enjoy it was absolutely perfect and was definitely worth walking through the charred forest area. It has plenty of seating space around the weir or on both ends along the water for a picnic or just to lay down and read a book :). Been Ingleburn a bunch of times but this was my first time seeing the beautiful nature of Ingleburn, definitely on my list to come back with friends or family :)!!
