Holly Hill Farm is an interactive and vast petting farm located in the heart of Campbell River, on Canada’s beautiful Vancouver Island. The winner of Campbell River’s ‘Best New Business’ Award, Holly Hill Farm is open to the public every Sunday from 10-2:00 (mid-March through October). Guests are invited to explore and immerse themselves in a free-ranging barnyard: holding chickens, snuggling baby bunnies, brushing mini goats, and hand feeding a friendly alpaca and horse. Truly a hands-on experience like no other, visitors can scratch a pot belly pig’s belly and, on lucky occasions, witness the birth of a newborn sheep or goat! Developing into a cultural and agricultural hub of Campbell River, Holly Hill Farm also hosts community events, birthday parties, summer camps, and educational after-school programs. The farm is also a supplier of healthy free-range meats, eggs, and fibre raised ethically and naturally.

Open during the COVID-19 pandemic with special precautions. The Discovery Passage Aquarium offers fun and unique hands-on educational experiences for people of all ages. Come to see, touch and feel our incredible local marine species and habitats and discover the diverse marine life of Discovery Passage and Islands. The Aquarium is open from spring until fall each year. Specimens from representative local species are collected from the marine environment in the spring and returned to the area of collection at the end of the season.
We came here on the last day it was open before they released their animals for the end of the season. The staff were all young high school and university students. They were super friendly and very knowledgeagle. It kept the attention of the littles and was very educational. What a great opportunity for peopLe, especially young kids, to acquire a passion about our local marine life and hopefully learn that we must work to protect it. We love that the animals are released at the end of the season. We were even around to see the giant pacific octopus chow down on her "end of season salmon treat". Very cool!!

We hit Lower Myra Falls on the hottest day of 2020 and was glad it was a scorcher or we would not have braved the frigid water for a swim! The falls are beautiful and the water is incredibly clear as it cascades through to Buttle Lake below.

We stayed at the nearby RV Park for a week and walked this park many times. Such a great use of the land. Level, mostly paved walkways, excellent for a mobility scooter.

Fantastic way to learn more about salmon and their life cycle. Easy access, ample parking, bears and eagles fishing nearby -- it a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend it.

This is the beginning or ending of the a seawalk hike, but you can go beyond. It is the terminus where you get to see all the wood carvings from the Transformations of the Shore competition in late June...Awesome!
