I walked in the Lungomare di Napoli area as part of a self-guided walking tour in August 2019. Looking out at the Bay of Naples and seeing Mount Vesuvius in the distance is an amazing experience. It was very hot in August and I made the mistake of walking in the sun. You can walk to the Lungomare di Napoli from Piazza Plebiscito. There were many younger people enjoying the beach and a lot of activity. But the image of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius will always stay in my mind. It was really hot so I had to eventually turn around and walk in the shade.

This is not my wife's and mine’s first visit to the amazing "Positano", and we hope not the last one. This time we traveled with a couple of friends we love to travel together, for them this was the first visit to Positano, and their enthusiasm and reactions reminded us of our first visit here. Positano is like an old wine that is constantly improving from visit to visit. The city is a network of pedestrian walkways full of plenty souvenir shops for tourists, clothing, galleries and fish and seafood stores and booths. A huge variety of restaurants and coffee shops of all types and levels, of galleries and photo / pictures booths, just about everything a tourists can ask for. An amazing array of objects and views for every photography enthusiast.
