Cambria /ˈkeɪmbriə/ is a seaside village in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California State Route 1 (Highway 1). The name Cambria, chosen in 1869, is the Latin name for Wales. Cambria is situated amidst Monterey pines in one of only three such native forests. Previously, the town had gone by the names of Slabtown, Rosaville, San Simeon and Santa Rosa. The corresponding census designated place (CDP) had a population of 6,032 at the 2010 census, slightly down from 6,232 at the 2000 census.

I like to visit old cemetery’s, l was so moved walking through there were items on most of the plots. A train on a child’s, tea pot on one, sea shells, little statues, benches ,little trails under the trees . It was such a special time for me and l would like to go back to spend more time❤️????????????

After several visits to Cambria and attempts to find someone at Nitt Witt Ridge we finally drove by on this visit and saw a group of people touring the house. I waited at the gate until they came down and was informed by the owner Michael that he would be glad to take our group on a tour as soon as this one ended. The donation of ten dollars is well worth the very interesting walk around the unique property built into a hillside a few blocks off main street. You'll never see anything else quite like Nitt Witt or the story of how it came to be. Michael was an awesome guide and did a wonderful job of story telling, you could tell he enjoyed sharing his property. I HIGHLY recommend this attraction.

So cute! Ideal real estate, next to the Vet's Hall, the old lighthouse light and the Pinedorado grounds. Slice of Slab Town history. So much history here that goes ignored due to the strong appeal of staring at the ocean. Come for Pinedorado and get a feel for the local heart.
