TLDR; this is a tremendous experience for the adventurous traveler; if you have an open mindset about meeting new people, enjoy hiking and the outdoors, and don't mind an occasionally rough ride, this is an incredible trip and well worth your time. Having never traveled outside the US, I wanted to go big on my first solo trip with the 62-day excursion from Pretoria to Nairobi. Since it was such an extensive trip, I was looking for the most value for my time, based on price, activities, and safety. I backpack often, so beyond basic comfort was not a priority for me, which turned out to be a good mindset to adopt since we camped nearly the entire trip, & rode in a truck with no AC (Namibia gets hot!). Tip - be ready to retrieve the rain fly for your tent during unexpected 3 AM rain showers! However, nearly all of the sites we stayed at had the option to upgrade from camping to comfortable indoor accommodations, which was a nice option to take advantage of occasionally. Once we reached our site for the night, we began our daily rotating duties, which included helping to cook, clean the truck, and do dishes, which I think added to the experience and helped bond our fellow tourists. Traveling solo, I felt safe at all times with our guides, drivers, and locations. My trip was split between two guides, Crispen, then Pete, and they were great company that looked out for us and kept us safe and informed about everything around us. Our guides were familiar with the paths and knew everyone at our destinations. Nothing surprised them. Our drivers were impressive as well, with Harmony and Francis keeping us safe on the often-tumultuous African roads. Navigating both urban and off-road environments in our trucks was no easy task, and Francis even proved his mechanic skills during the occasional break-down. The variety of locations we stayed at were simply incredible. From Cape Town to the deserts of Namibia, the Okavango Delta to Zanzibar Island, the mixture of urban and remote landscapes couldn't have been better. We saw every animal you can imagine. On a trip like this, an open mindset is key. Traveling for two months with strangers can go any number of ways, but due to this trip, I now have lifelong friends scattered across the globe that I can't wait to visit. This wasn't just a vacation, it was a lasting, eye-opening experience that I believe everyone should try if possible. I can't recommend this trip enough. I wish I could go back to January and do it all over again.

Okay this is unbelievable, i always wanted to go to Africa in style and then i heard some bad news about the mosquitoes and stuff but i wanted to try anyways, so i got to meet Ruth, the operations manager and she got everything done in just a little time, when we began our expedition my guide Sam told me that the loads of mosquitoes was a misconception , there are mosquitoes but not killer ones, all i'm saying is, my trip and everything wouldn't have been so memorable if it wasn't for this organization

Overview On this safari, you will track the endangered Mountain Gorillas in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is one of Uganda’s smallest national park protecting one of the world’s most sought after wildlife species. The tangled vegetation and terrain offers challenging encounters to Trekkers and meeting these gentle giants is one of the most fascinating experiences on an African safari. Tracking usually lasts a few hours (3-4) or through the entire day depending on the Gorilla movements and their location. Once you meet them, an hour is given to you in their presence to watch them.
Inclusions: All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Use of SCUBA equipment
The equator is approximately 3 hours drive from Kampala, in kayabwe on Masaka road. I seldom believe in things i don't see, but this water experiment at the equator is something to believe in. The water swirls anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere and clockwise in the northern hemisphere. Plus, i arrived at exactly midday and it was true what I heard. At midday, there is no shadow standing at the equator. The monument, the cafe, the ambiance, especially when there aren't school trips, makes this place a true attraction. I'm forever grateful to team Nile Abenteuer. We shall def do this again.

My son and I spent two weeks experiencing the magic that is Uganda and we will never forget our time there. Truly a priceless experience. I could talk about those experiences for pages -- the friendly people, the beautiful Nile River where we did whitewater rafting, the two lions we saw in a tree, the elephant who told us to back-off a bit, the chimpanzee group w/whom we spent a morning, and the majestic mountain gorillas who let us into their community for a visit. And on and on. I am so fortunate that I found Nkuringo Walking Safaris. I worked closely w/the owner, Lydia, to prepare a schedule that was custom made for me and my son. She was a pleasure to work with and did not get flustered even when I had to change the whole itinerary at the last minute. Then there was Jack who was our fearless guide throughout our trip. A true animal lover, Jack had an encyclopedic knowledge of Uganda's wildlife. He was professional, responsive, and fun to be around. A great navigator! And I cannot forget Jackie and Catherine, who introduced us to the delicious Rolex in Entebbe. They were a pleasure! An all-round terrific organization w/outstanding people, I cannot recommend Nkuringo Safaris enough!
