The Hunter Club is a grassroots music venue, bar and multi-purpose event space in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. The venue is located a short walk from the town centre and we pride ourselves on being a free house and the best independent bar and venue in the area. We are dedicated to supporting local creative performers and artists, and we provide a fully-equipped venue for independent music promoters. In addition to our gigs, comedy nights, and community events, we are also proud to provide facilities for numerous youth and community projects/events including Bury Fringe Festival, BurySound Band Competition, West Suffolk College, National Citizen Service, Noise Solution, the Bury Singer Songwriters Competition, Bury St Edmunds Film Society, and many others. We provide free space for community groups, and work closely with local Community. In 2019 we were awarded the Best Local Music Venue award by the NMG awards.
Didn't realise they did delivery food so thought we would give it a go. prices are great. we ordered three pizzas and six beers. I mentioned to the person on the phone that it was my mums birthday and they even put a lovely note on the box! We paid over the phone, the person was very informative and it was all quick and easy. Pizza arrived on time, piping hot and was delicious. You could tell it was all homemade. Beers were also cold which was a nice touch! The delivery man was very professional and followed social distancing when delivering pizzas. All round a lovely experience. Will definitely be ordering again!

The Troston Bull is an historic public house in the small village of Troston, just outside historic Bury St Edmunds. The old farm building was turned into pub with its own brewery in 1801. Following a prolonged closure (>5yrs) it’s new owners re-opened it July 2017. It serves a great selection of real ales and craft beers. You're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Our first pub visit since they re-opened post lockdown and was worth the wait! Lovely garden with a big canopy set up. Tables nicely spaced out. Really friendly staff/owners, and food was delicious. Great selection of drinks too. Will definitely come again if we’re ever passing through the area.

Limited selection of beers in what is possibly the smallest pub in Britain, so it’s perfectly understandable. Quirky decor a must for everyone visiting Bury St Edmunds.

Outstanding pub. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Excellent wide range of ales. No lager here but I personally see that as a good thing. No music/sports either. Again, something I see as a good thing for this particular establishment. Dog friendly and certainly good value for money. I'm writing this review during lockdown. It says that I went here on April 2020 but could not set the date back any further! It's the one place I am missing terribly in the pandemic! Cannot wait for it to re-open.

A lovely independent pub, fits Bury St Edmunds perfectly. Enjoyable, relaxed night with friends. My visit was the First time I have eaten there, and could not complain. Fresh food, home made pork and apple burger with chunky fries. Definitely recommmend and I will be going back.
