Uludag is a host to winter sports as it has a ski resort on the mountain with plenty of hotels and amenities. However you can go on the telerifik (cable car) at any time in the year providing weather is good enough. This is one of the longest cable car rides at almost 9kms one way. You buy the tickets at the entrance and be sure to keep hold of these as you will need them to come back down as well. The cable car stops after about 4.5kms and you can get off here to explore the shops or simply walk around the mountain, there are plenty of cafes and areas to do your own bbq or have a picnic. From this level you can then go further on the cable car, another 4.2kms or so on the cable car to the higher area of Uludag. Up there you will see more great views and find more places of eat and drink. You can also drive up the mountain but the cable car is very relaxing.
