I had a truly wonderful experience for one hour's ride into the snowy wilderness. Oggy was very attentive to us and his horses, and told us all about the wildlife in the forest. As an advanced rider the horses and the trail were great fun, and for my friend who had not ridden for 10 years the horse was kind and easy to ride! It was easy to book, we only had to ask on the morning and he took us for a ride right away! Thank you Horse Riding with Butch :)

I want to recommend this place . I was quite afraid to go on a house but Boris the owner who was also our gide was so professional & patient that it be came one of the most beautiful experiences for me. We took the long trip through the forest enjoyed a beautiful view over Sofia & a small very pastoral waterfall.. I spent a week with Penguin Travel in the Rhodope Mountains. Our guide was Lubo. We were very lucky because the company and Lubo agreed to organise a tour for just the two of us. The tour was the first such a long one I had, with 5-6 hours on horseback per day. The horses were very well maintained, calm and made me feel completely safe and relaxed all the time. Lubo, our guide, was super friendly, took great care of the horses and told us interesting stories and details about the places we visited. I can't think of a better guide for the trip! The views were spectacular and diverse - from plains to high mountains, through meadows and forests, passing cosy villages and picturesque rivers. I had a chance to meet and talk to local people, who are very friendly, and try local cuisine, which I enjoyed very much. There was also a chance to visit Sofia and Plovdiv, with the latter being a complete surprise for me - it's a beautiful city definitely worth a walk around! I can definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves horses, nature and amazing people!

What a fabulous experience in Borovets. We were a family of 3 - all who have ridden before to different levels. However, no experience whatsoever is required in order to enjoy a trip out into th Bulgarian Wilderness. The horses are just gorgeous - all fit and really healthy and they are loved as if they are family. They are all calm and obedient and yet those more experienced riders can have a fab time - we had a lovely trot whenever the terrain allowed it - you can have a guide rope if you prefer or are nervous. Lots of information about the animals and wildlife in Bulgaria. We saw 3 gorgeous deer just feeding by the pathside. There was lots of snow and so the trails looked a bit like Narnia!! So picturesque. Would highly recommend and great value. Will definitely go again when we return to Borovets. Love the Wharton family xxx

My mum and I did this ride over 3 days while on a holiday in Bulgaria. We have done a couple of horseriding trips and love them so was excited to do this one. Kunka, Lazar and Lazar jnr are great hosts and company! Had lovely meals out with them and a great time riding around the countryside and mountains. The accommodation was great, especially loved the last place at the winery, definitely recommend staying there longer after the horseride is finished if possible! The horses were lovely and did so well over the 3 days. Lots of fun riding them, plenty of energy and easy enough to ride. Would love to go back again!
