Things to do in Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District: The Best Beer Tastings & Tours

June 14, 2021 Rebbecca Marino

The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

Like everyone else who can't wait to get back to real travel, we've all looked into "virtual tours? i don't know....online cooking.....maybe it could work, i don't know" Well this is the perfect introduction into that world, and there is no better person to enter that world than with Frank. Of all our travels, Frank has been by far my wife's favorite tour guide - as he's not just a guide or in this case instructor, but a friend you a haven't seen in years. The class is over before you know it because the whole time you're just chatting with him. Now the class itself - 1. Super simple to make. Super Quick to make. You don't have to set aside tons of time to prep before or cook after. 2. Frank's set up is amazing. He is like a little cooking show with two cameras, one on him, one on the counter so you can always follow along. So there is no awkward "hang on, let me adjust my camera to show you..." and during the class checking up on how ours should be looking. Plus...it's actually a good recipe. As we've learned from Frank's asado tour and Craft Beer tour, we expect nothing but excellence from him. 3.This is the part that gets overlooked, but you have to know he has gallon jugs of this stuff all over his house, but at no point did he have that 'here we go again, making the same thing over and over' There was no cutting corners or sloppiness or blah anywhere. So with all of this said, if you're looking to enter the world of virtual cooking classes, this is *the* tour to start with. and i know if frank had a monthly cooking class get together, i know my wife would be the first one to sign up.

My husband and I spent an evening on a private tour with Kevin, and had a wonderful time. This truly was a private, customized tour and not a boring visit to the usual tourist traps. We communicated extensively with Kevin before the trip concerning our likes and what we wanted from the tour, and he put together a fantastic itinerary, where we sampled unusual, delicious food and wine at amazing places that we would never have found ourselves. Kevin is an engaging conversationalist and taught us much about the food and the city, and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and visit during the rest of our time in BA. Highly recommended!

I Do not recommend this company I did a pre-planned day trip of Argentina. It was arranged they pick me up from nearby hotel. I msg to confirm and they changed the plans and I had to meet there which wasn’t Easy to find. I attempted many times to contact them via the phone numbers they provided and concierge also attempted, but they never responded. Then I only got half the tour. Try other more reliable and reputable companies.

Probably the highlight of my trip to South America. Matias was very passionate about football and knew all the answers to all the questions I had. He was an excellent guide and made it very enjoyable. Both River and Boca are must see places and this is the perfect way to see both of them, right after each other. Could not recommend Matias and this tour enough. Very good !
