History of healing - the Peer collection ,,Small, but sophisticated" was the idea behind this specialized pharmaceutical museum, opened in 2002 at Bressanone in South Tyrol, Italy. The particular attraction of the museum lies in its unique combination of pharmacy, architecture and art. The modern showcases and contemporary art projects harmonize with the panelling in wood from the Renaissance area and the murals dated 1620. A rich collection of plants, animals and minerals coming from the whole world and used during the last four centuries as various remedies constitute the centre of the Peer collection. All the texts, explanations and descriptions avoid the use of technical terms and are suitable also for persons who have no background in the subject. Thanks to the clever didactic system, the museum provides general informations for hurried visitors as well as detailed knowledge for experts.

Bressanone is our go to place to relax, walk and eat! It’s a lovely little town with something for everyone. Great walks into the mountains, hillsides or through town. Great shops and wonderful local restaurants with authentic meals. We visit at least once a year and Bressanone is fantastic in any season!
