Things to do in Brac Island, Dalmatia: The Best Biking Trails

Sutivan is the starting point of this route.After only a few minutes of cycling, you'll stumble upon the sandy bay of Likva, Continue along, cycling through beautiful bays and pine woods up to Deralo beach, where you'll start ascending deep into the island inland. Riding through olive groves, you'll come upon Golo Brdo a memorial site. This route reaches its end in the centre of Sutivan

This thematic route 15, 152 km long starts at the centre of Sutivan and goes southbound towards St.Roko hill. Riding through olive groves, you'll reach the villages Bobovišća na moru, and Ložišća. The route then takes you to "Francis Joseph Bridge" and Smrčja plateau where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the western coast of the island.

This route of 45 km goes along the road, starting from the centre of Supetar and going to the west part of the island. Passing through Mirci and Sutivan, you get to Ložišća. Continue along this road to Milna.Go back on the same road, passing again through Ložišća, Dračevica and Donji Humac.Road from Donji Humac takes you on a descending slope to Supetar.

This road route bearing the name of Sv. Jere, the saint of Pučišća, is 55.2 km long. Go through Splitska and Postira to Pučišća After Pučišća a demanding climb begins towards Pražnice where the route becomes easier. Here, we recommend leaving the road for a while and visiting Gažul. After Gažul a slight descent on the main road begins and passing through Nerežišća you arrive again in Supetar.

The start of this 8,6 km long route is in Sutivan. It goes eastwards on a macadam road, leading you to a tiny village of Mirci. Ride along the "Oliveways", beautiful olive groves bordered by dry walls, and ascend the area called Smrićje. Once there, continue your route north-west, back to Sutivan.

The beautiful but also challenging cycling trail (49.2 km) bears name of saint Petar protector of Supetar.From the center of Supetar, the trail leads you to the picturesque Mircas.Upon reaching the top of the initial section of "Dolcevec",you continue on to Nerežišće - the historic capital of Brac.After Nerežišće, you continue your ascent to a junction for macadam path that takes you to Lovrečina.

This 29,5 km long route takes you through the village of Mirci along the "Oliveways" up to Dračevice. Continue your route via Nerežišća up to Škrip.The route takes you further towards the sea into the village of Splitska. To get back to Supetar - just follow the bike road signs.

From Postira, the route takes you to Dol and subsequently to Gažul. Continue to Pražnice, and then go down to the sea and a sandy bay Lovrečina, where you can visit an archaeological site of St. Lovre basilica from the 5th-6th ct. Go back to Postira along the path which goes through a beautiful pine wood along the sea line.

The beautiful trail starts from Bol towards Murvica by the sea, so the serpentines climbs to Obrsje and turns towards Dračevica, and descends to Sutivan.Further through Nerežišće we go towards the top of Brac to the Vidova Gora.We descend to the sea and through Murvica along the Zlatni Rat beach we reach the starting point in Bol. The trail is 90.4km long with 2160m of ascent.

This 27,6 km long, bike route is suitable for everyone. It starts in Supetar and takes you to Trolokve and a beautiful Babin laz bay.Continue along the macadam road from Splitska to Postire.A macadam road along the sea will take you to a magical sandy bay Lovrečina , one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
