Things to do in Blue Mountains, New South Wales: The Best Antique Stores

June 13, 2021 Elouise Mccaul

The Blue Mountains are named for the delicate azure haze that lingers along the region, which is actually a fine cloud of oil emitted by eucalyptus trees. The mystical mountains are a labyrinth of plateaus, gorges and gum trees. Check out the Katoomba Scenic Railway (the steepest railway in the world), the Jenolan Caves and the Giant Staircase nature walk.

What a plethora of things, useless, beautiful and fun, with furniture and vintage clothing thrown in for good measure. Loved browsing in this huge shop, found a couple of interesting that will make their way back to France with us. Give yourself some time if you want to check this place out, it seems to go on and on.

This is the best antique store I have been to. Very welcoming energy from the second you enter, we walked in and they were having a family vegan lunch near the heater and welcomed us in with warmth. We had a look around they complemented me on my colour pants and said they loved my vibe. Told me funny stories and then gifted me the item I wanted to buy. I would have been more than happy to spend my money here. Run my people I would genuinely like to hang out and laugh with. It is completely understandable why their store was full of friends.

Victory Theatre Antique Centre

The old theatre that is now an antiques centre with multitudes of sellers in their own little nooks. We saw 3 carat diamond ring from Cartier, Paris and read it’s story - apparently it belonged to Frank Sinatra and was a gift for his 40th birthday. Huh. The things you find when you’re not looking - interesting little read. Definitely worth a visit when in the area
