This is a must visit. The staff warmly greeted us as we entered the shop and we were offered three different tastings while we were there. It was interesting to watch the chocolatiers at work. Making chocolate really is a labour of love. Although the chocolate is on the expensive side, it is quality and very delicious. We took home a bag of brittle to enjoy.

Allan Scott is one of the true pioneers and a name synonymous with New Zealand’s acclaimed Marlborough region, having been involved with the planting of the region’s first vineyard in 1973. In June 2011 he was awarded with a Queens Birthday honour for services to the New Zealand wine industry. Allan along with wife Catherine founded the Allan Scott Family Winemakers label in 1990 and quickly became a household brand name in the highly competitive wine industry. Today Allan, Catherine and entire family of Victoria, Joshua and Sara head up the production marketing and management of the company with a highly skilled operational team. The family produces a range of aromatic wines especially well suited to the region’s gravelly soils and sunny climate; Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer while an exceptional Methode Traditionelle made with the traditional techniques and using only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is also produced.
We always enjoy Alan Scotts on our annual visits to NZ from the UK. The setting is very pretty and the food always good. Possibly this year even better with the addition of some new and very tasty dishes, the Pork Belly received 'delicious' from our 11 year old grandson and his Mum. The cheese platter was very good and the whole meal for eight of us first class. We visited twice in 10days which is a good recommendation as there are several must visit wineries.

They only do platters for lunch and my goodness they do a great job. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We sat in the courtyard and felt we had been transported to Tuscany. A lovely place.

HEARTS IN MARLBOROUGH SINCE 1980, ROOTS IN CHAMPAGNE SINCE 1684. No.1 Family Estate is a boutique Methode Champenoise winery founded by Daniel and Adele Le Brun. It is the only winery in New Zealand committed exclusively to producing premium Méthode Traditionelle wine. Almost 40 years ago, champagne maker Daniel Le Brun has had one goal: to make Méthode Traditionelle and to do it in Marlborough, New Zealand. Since he planted the first vines in Marlborough, the award-winning winemaker has created wines that rival the best in the world using methods perfected over 12 generations by his family in Champagne. While Daniel makes the wine, Adele provides the business and marketing flair. The next generation of Le Bruns, son Remy and daughter Virginie, are the faces of the future and are actively involved in building the No.1 brand, in New Zealand and across the world.
Bubbles made in the champagne style (methode traditional) - top quality, top service and knowledge. Little bit of bling on the side for those wanting to pick up some jewelry as well.

Taylor Pass isn’t just another honey maker from little old New Zealand, there’s more to us than that. We understand that creating amazing flavours requires an exceptional level of knowledge, skill and commitment. Our beekeepers believe that there is more to crafting delicious honey than watching over a few bees. We see our beekeepers as explorers, trailblazers that embrace isolation and the elements in pursuit of amazing flavour. Go on, have a try, savour the extra craftsmanship that goes into every single jar of Taylor Pass honey. It’s unrivalled quality truly is a taste worth exploring. So come on in, try our honeys for free and get up close and personal with the bees with our glass hive. You wont be dissapointed and we look forward to seeing you soon!
