Derek is a positive and encouraging coach. We were complete beginners so found it very exciting when we hit a clay. Very relaxed atmosphere which put us all at ease. The weather was dreadful but we had great fun. Thanks Derek for a lovely day out...we will be back! Perfect!

Welcome to probably the most complete outdoor activity centre in the UK. Here at Gorcombe we now boast a fleet of some 70+ vehicles, more than 10 different activities, open 7 days a week with fulltime fully trained staff. Due to the dire situation the Farming Industry found itself in the Meaden family were forced into a "diversify or bust" problem back in the 1990s. Thankfully they picked the right mix and now lay on a centre like no other in the country. The approach of a safe excitement in a relaxed atmosphere is what we all crave, but it seems so hard to find, with all the safety requirements we now face. But the 19 years of experience has enabled Gorcombe to do just this. Every activity has been designed by our fun-loving, adrenaline-seeking extreme sports team, with their sense of adventure and humour you will be guaranteed a fantastic time no matter which activity you choose.
We were made to feel very welcome by very friendly and professional staff. Had great fun on 4 different courses, set in some beautiful Dorset countryside, where we were able to safely give the bikes a good blast at full throttle - something that has rarely been possisble at other venues we've visited. Our marshall was good at moving the slower riders over so we could all get to go 'flat out' without getting stuck behind anyone else for too long. Only things that would have made it even more enjoyable for me would have been some clean balaclavas to wear inside the helmets (a bit more hygienic) and gloves for office-working lightweights like me who ended up with nasty blisters on both hands from gripping the vibrating handlbars so tightly (I probbaly should have thought about that in the first place and bought my own - a good tip if you have nice hands like me and aren't used to manual labour!) really good and thouoghly enjoyable day out. Thanks Guys.
