The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

Hanging round oasis market, came out the back way and found Costers re-opened! Great place from my youth and with the Flapper set to close I can imagine a whole new generation of people are about to find this classic rock pub. For me personally, a highlight is there being Kraken on sale, but really this place is all about the music and the vibe of acceptance, I went in on my own in the afternoon and still ended up talking to people I had never met before. Deffo a place for individuals, there's no need to be a clone of anything in here, anyone with a good attitude would be accepted for who they are for sure. A very welcome return indeed. Big shouts to all involved.

Independent cocktail bar in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter with a focus on seasonal Japanese ingredients, minimalist design and a chilled atmosphere.
Having lost the amazing 18/81 back in February we were on the lookout for another purveyor of cocktail magic. We found it! Amazing and innovative flavours in simply presented strong cocktails - as they should be! Japanese influenced and delicious (If you want fruity “fun” colourful cocktails full of Ice, sparklers, umbrellas and little alcohol, you’ll need to find somewhere else) Having visited the location before when it’s previous tenants (Vanguard) were there, I have to say the decor and ambience is even better. It feels bigger and more sophisticated. A beautiful place to be. I was impressed that the staff explained the cocktails like in a good restaurant. That’s what I’d expect from a high end cocktail bar. Lovely staff too. Thanks for a lovely evening Ikigai. Stay strong over lockdown 2.0 because we will be back.

Karaoke Box Birmingham, with private themed rooms, delicious cocktails. 11 private rooms with sizes from 2 to 30 people,With a range of 15,500 songs to select from going back to your fleetwood Mac,Disney classics and your current top charts and every room comes with 2 microphones and tambourines.
Kareoke box made my friends birthday night out absolutely brilliant. Recommend booking a room out even for an hour (£25 for an hour room hire) plus buying drinks is very reasonable for the entertainment value. We booked a room only half an hour from turning up & had the best time with a huge range of songs. Will definitely be going back!
