We came to Beverley for the day and found this little gem (very little). What a great place with a great selection of beers and nice staff my husband loves real ale so it made him very happy indeed. We will be calling back the next time we are in Beverley

The Sun Inn is a historic building opposite the Beverley Minster. The place to go for the determined beer lover or for anyone wanting entertainment and live music. Dating back to 1530 this is believed to be the oldest pub in Beverley and the East Riding. You will find the pub has a array of excellent real ales always available and a really nice homely feel with a large courtyard to the rear.
If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! We had vegetarian Sunday lunch, real Quorn sausages, real gravy, and fresh vegetables, hot and cooked to perfection! Great friendly service, with a calm and relaxed demeanour. In other words one of the best Sunday lunches, at a fair price. The beer was well kept, expertly conditioned and flavoursome, so, what's not to like. 5+ stars!

Friendly historical local "real ale" pub with a selection of craft gins, both child and dog friendly.
The early doors banter is a great place to be even for a visitor. I've been coming here on and off for 40+ years and it still feels the same, although it probably has moved on subtly. Sit in the front bar and drink it in. The Tetley's bitter is spot on and such a joy for me living in Somerset now. Traditional bench seats now divided for covid and it's all very relaxed. You'll go to Nellies no doubt if you're visiting Beverley - but don't miss this one.

Absolutely fantastic bar with excellent customer service. My partner and I decided to have a date night and a few drinks in town and were delighted to see all the precautions And Covid guidelines in place at the Kings Head. We were seated without a booking (luckily) but gave full details for track and trace at the door. The table service was brilliant, the staff were friendly, funny and reassuring. They answered all our questions and ensured tables were clean and sanitised before allowing new patrons to be seated. The toilets were cleaned regularly, smelt fresh and hand sanitiser was available outside the toilet entrance to ensure extra precautions were maintained. We didn’t eat but a table near by had a lovely looking meal and the drinks were reasonably priced and well presented. We will definitely be recommending The Kings Head to all our friends and will be booking to come for tea very soon! Well done to all the staff and thank you!
