Le Moulin de la Biodiversite A new site worth visiting in the Berry A 15th century water mill has been restored in this authentic green setting. La Tourbiere de la Guette: A unique natural heritage Les espaces naturels sensibles du Cher Labelled as a Natural Sensitive Site by the local authorities of the Cher, La tourbiere de la Guette hosts an exceptional flora as well as fauna, protected both regionally and nationally. With an area of 23 ha, it is Sologne’s biggest peatland! La Tourbiere de la Guette is a wildlife reserve but also a tool for scientists as well as a water and weather regulator. Walk on your own: a freely accessible wood slatted path enables you to explore and observe without getting your feet wet or damaging the protected plants. Displayed signs and pannels will help you better understand as you walk. Be careful: we invite you to respect the posted rules. Plan to wear weather appropriate shoes and clothes. L’Etang de M. Gentil The park, the pond, the river… Halfway between a landscaped garden and a natural setting, entertain yourself through a range of environments. Wander along the Barangeon (first category river), fish on the pond, discover the bamboo forest, have a picnic in the park… Everything to make you enjoy the moment at the sound of running water and singing birds. More than just a place to rest, our hostesses offer a range of activities within the park throughout the year. Lenght of stroll: 20 min but you may wander longer… The park is free to access all year long (river banks are out of bounds when it swells) Set with picnic tables and benches.
