Your driver and your private official tour guide, will pick you up in your private vehicle from your hotel or place of choice in San Sebastian or Bilbao. We will help you organize your completely personalized "Game of Thrones" unique experience in the Basque Coast This is the tour starting from San Sebastian (starting from Bilbao would be the same itinerary, but the other way round): Your first stop will be Getaria, a very attractive medieval fishing settlement located only 30 minutes away from San Sebastian. You will then continue to Zumaia, the entrance to Dragonstone Castle, where John Snow first meets The Mother of Dragons. Next stop will be San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. There is a chapel dedicated to St John baptist which is located in the high part of the rock, there is a manmade stair that lets you walk there. This is the place where Daenerys returns to dragonstone. The last 3 places you will visit will be the nature reserve of Urdaibai, Mundaka and Bermeo.

Our expectations of San Sebastian were not in vain. Bask Me Private Tours brought us to the different famous sites in the city. They gave us accounts on the history and culture of the region, and also allowed us to experience their gastronomies while we mix with Donostiarras. We had fond memories of this amazing city. Can’t say enough great things about our day-tour with Andoni. As big GOT fans, it was an absolute blast to visit the filming locations for Dragonstone (Yes, you visit more than one!). The hotel pick-up from San Sebastian was a huge plus, as the locations we visited were around an hour west of San Sebastian. Andoni was as professional as they come and ensured we were completely comfortable and relaxed the entire day. He showed us the best kept secrets throughout the area and truly got to know us. We would have never had seen anything close to what we did without his guidance. My wife and I both agree that this was the highlight of our entire vacation. Would reccomend 10/10.

You can’t miss Barrika, Dragonstone and Zumaia if you’re in Bilbao. Leyre & María (such wonderful local guides) they would tell you everything about the cast being on Basque Country and more! Also the best tips to visit, eat and enjoy Bilbao! I loved it every minute of it :) I strongly recommend it

This will be a fantastic experience on the Basque Coast. We will meet in addition to the scenarios in which the seventh season of Game of Thrones has been recorded, two of the most important treasures in our Coast. “San Juan de Gaztelugatxe” and “Itzurun-Flysch en Zumaia”. The first stop will be to visit Basque Coast Geopark. That is a little area located between Cantabrian Sea and Basque mountains. On our way to the next location, we will stop at Portuondo, from where we will be able to have a beautiful view of Mundaka. There we´ll enjoy 2 pintxos and drinks suggested by the guide (Full Menu in a traditional restaurant in the PREMIUM option) and then you will be given free time to have lunch in Mundaka. Then, we will visit San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. At the end of the stairway you could place your feet into San Juan Bautista´s footprint and according to what it is said, it brings good luck.

We worked with Nerea to organize 2 days of private guides for our overnight in Bilbao on our cruise. Nerea was great to work with, and the two historical walking and Pinxtos tours were amazing. We have done a lot of private tours in our travels in Europe and our two private guides, 1 in San Sebastian and 1 in Bilbao were 2 of the best we ever had. I wish I could remember the ladies names that took us around, but they were FANTASTIC! The food they shared with us was amazing. They took us to very different places in each city, but places that they liked to visit is locals. The Pinxtos were amazing, the wine was amazing, the history tours were great. The guides were so knowledgable, personable, flexible, and they made us fall in love with the region of Spain. You cannot go wrong with the service and the guides provided by Basque Destinations. Our guide in Bilbao even walked around the Guggenheim with us and explained things (even though techinically it is not legal to do so), and for people who are not versed in Modern Art, it was very impactful, educational, and made the experience so much more enjoyable. I wish I could remember the women's names, but I waited too long to write the review...but you will not be disappointed with the private tours created by Nerea and her team.

This private guided visit will respect Spanish social distancing rules at all times and the guide will always wear a mask in closed spaces. In this tour we will visit the best highlights of the Basque coast starting from San Juan de Gaztelugatxe the flysch of Zumaia and finally Getaria driving along the whole Urola coastline. San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is an islet in the Biscay locality of Bermeo famous for being the filming spot for dragon stone in Game of thrones. It is connected to the mainland by a two-arch bridge. On the island there is a hermitage dedicated to San Juan that dates from the 10th century, although some discoveries date from the 9th century. During the whole tour we will enjoy a complete history lesson. In Getaria we will walk along this historical town and discover it's best pintxos spots as we discuss all of it's naval history and also chat about Ricardo Balenciaga, the famous fashion designer who was also born in Getaria.

Since we arrived in Spain nearly 2 weeks ago, we have participated in several tours as we traveled across Spain. All very enriching, insightful, and worth while. As the cliché goes “save the best for last!” Jamie, tour operator/owner, picked us up bright and early from our hotel and off we went to Bilbao. Jamie brought along his cousin/operator in training, which we were totally cool with and actually it added another level to the tour. Compared to our other tours, they ultimately felt, for the like of a better word, like tours. You were paying someone to show you around. There was some invisible boundary that separated operator from client, totally fine but it feels fake sometimes. This tour felt different, it felt like a couple friends taking a road trip from San Sebastián to Bilbao. One of the friends being really knowledgeable, Jamie. One of the friend working off that energy, Jaime cousin. The other friends going along for the ride, us. It was refreshing and fantastic. Having conversations as we drove between the two cities made the time whiz by so quickly. That’s a plus! Normally, one of us, fiancé or I, are falling asleep as we get to a destination. Not this time around, Jaime and his cousin were really engaging. Admittedly, I had some doubts that we wouldn’t get a breathe of Bilbao in a day but, I have to be honest, we really felt like we got immersed in the city. He guided us through the streets and history. Showed us local spots and let us on our own at the Guggenheim to take in the art. Afterwards we chatted our way back to our hotel. We could have hung out with both Jaime and his cousin all day. Next time, we are back in town, we will take him up on one of his other tours. Highly recommend having him show you around. Super knowledge and engaging. I can not recommend this tour any higher.

The explanations provided during all the tour were accurate and very extensive but at the same time funny. The tour guide was fantastic. He was a local young guy full of energy and good vibes. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting San Sebastian.

The best experience to visit the two museums of Bilbao: classic and avant-garde, with a great guide, Beatrice, and that transmits Basque Culture very well by art and how to understand it. In addition to telling you the brutal transformation of her BILBAO City . Thanks, it was a full experience.
