The name says it all: Belo Horizonte, or “beautiful horizon,” has stunning views of surrounding mountains. Built as a planned city about a century ago, its tree-lined streets are laid out in a tidy grid. Explore the modern Brazilian architecture of the Pampulha neighborhood, relax in Mangabeiras Park or indulge in some epic retail therapy. Refresh with a cachaça rum cocktail, or tuck into a sumptuous pile of meat at a traditional Brazilian barbecue restaurant.

I love to go there and walk around the plaza, take in some sun, appreciate the beautiful architecture, fountains and flowers.

It is a must visit in Belo Horizonte. I do recommend to have a guide when visiting it, since there are many details to notice in the church, and its history is very interesting!

The new stadium is fantastic. Perfect viewpoints from any seat. Good structure and very well kept. But to get inside is so troublesome. It can literally take you 45 mins to get to your seat. And if you park your car in the stadium parking lot, give it an hour or so to get out. This should be taken care of

In the middle of downtown, is a peaceful place to appreciate a well preserved catholic church. They recently repainted the church to its original colors. If you are walking down the city its a good place to spend a quiet time.
