This gallery is located in a century old Victorian house in the seaside village of Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Canada. Experience a wide selection of fine art photography representing the beauty of eastern Canada by Fred Horton along with local pottery and jewelry. Please call or email for hours as I am open mostly by chance or appointment. In the summer I am open most days from 10am to 5pm.
The owner was wonderful in recommending where we could have art work framed. He prints photos from local areas that are very affordable and make lovely gifts.

Main & Station began as a project to save a derelict building in the seaside community of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Although the building is still undergoing some work, in June 2013 Main & Station re-opened the doors that had been closed 43 years earlier and it is now host to a secondhand bookshop, an art gallery, a café, workshops, seminars, community events and Artist residencies. Main & Station & the Nonesuch Residencies are 100% privately funded. We do not apply for or receive government grants. The Nonesuch mission is to have fun and to encourage artistic activity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community involvement. Travel can be quite a stimulus to ideas and creativity. The residency program allows participants the opportunity to work creatively in one or more new environments. Support to the community is via arts programming, seminars, collaborations, small venue presentations, and partnerships.

This is a unique place to stay overnight in a caboose or freight car converted into accommodations. You can also eat in a dining car. This is a popular destination for railway buffs and people looking for a different soft adventure.
