I loved the Uluwatu Temple but not only have objection about the way Di Bali Tour has arranged this tour but also have objection against the person legongayu, who is the Director of Sales at Di Bali Tour. At first, I will talk about my positive experiences with this tour: First of all, Uluwatu Temple is full of scenic beauty. You can go there and have beautiful cliff captures which would definitely make your day. The spectacular environment of the oceanic breeze and the horizontal beauty is something to remember for a lifetime. Secondly, if you are a religious person then you will have a good time at the temple. By religion I am Hindu and so did I. Now I will turn my views towards my objections: Firstly, you should not book this trip from Trip Advisor which the Di Bali Tour would ask you to do. They will tell you that the overall cost would appear on online booking when you book it. The charge is about IDR 906000 (equivalent to $ 65) for 3 people and it is just for your transportation cost with a guide (driver) to Uluwatu. Though the director of sales argued that their “high QUALITY SERVICE guide are licensed, and are able to explain the story of the temple and bali culture”, however, in reality, they just hired some freelance driver to pick and drop us and he could not speak for more than 5 minutes about the history of the temple (if the sales director calls that history). I reckon any taxi driver can do that in Bali. The driver also reported us about not being properly paid by the company. You can go to Uluwatu temple on your own by Gojek/Big Blue at a much cheaper price (i.e. around IDR 284000 equivalent to $20). The sales director perhaps does not understand the point and likes to insult the tourists by writing that if they don’t have money, then they should go with scooter etc. because that suits their budget. That’s really lame. Secondly, the sales director may also be unaware of the purpose of Trip Advisor. Writing a review reveals what to do and what not to do for someone who has not made that trip yet. Probably Di Bali Tour cannot handle negative reviews/suggestions and if you go through their responses given by the sales director to different tourists then you will have an idea what I’m talking about. Thirdly, there is a difference between culture and custom. The Kecak Fire Dance was a poor performance compared to what we have witnessed in other cultural Bali shows such as Night Safari Fire Dance and various other dance performances in the Devdan Show. The performance has little/no music and dancing could have been better. Most importantly, I think the plot of Ramayana was poorly executed. At least two guys instead of girls could play the roles of Shri Rama & Lakhshmana. The performance of Ravana was much appreciated though. On the other hand, the role of Hanuman should have been taken a bit more seriously than putting it into a comedy. But again, perhaps the sales director does not appear to understand that tourists have the right to compare & educate people on different types of tours and he commented directly on my religion (Without knowing my religion). As I am from a Muslim country, he indirectly means the Muslims. That’s a stereotype thinking. Fourth of all, beware of the monkeys. The sales director argued with us that there are “Naughty Monkeys” in temple, however, in reality, it’s a deception and those monkeys can actually become quite aggressive and harmful as I was attacked not once but twice by them. First time while we were walking back from the Kecak Fire Dance show, one monkey jumped from the top of the tree to snatch my spectacles amid the crowd, I shouted out so loud that everyone got frightened. However, it was unsuccessful to snatch it the first time. Next, it most probably followed me and jumped on my shoulder from behind for the second time to snatch my glasses and this time not only took it but also scratched over my left eye. Blood appeared on my skin. Di Bali Tour’s typical quality guide was unable to protect me both the times, if the sales director calls that their Superb Quality Service. We also saw those monkeys snatching other people’s sandals and bags etc. It seems like they are getting desperate for food. I must say the Government of Indonesia should take it more seriously. It has become a classical conditioning type learning that they will attack and snatch something from tourists and from nowhere a guard appears and gives them food and they drop your stuff. Fifthly, RABIES ALERT! the driver tried to convince us that those monkeys are vaccinated but he did not seem sure at all. We asked him to take us to a hospital and we went to Unicare located in Uluwatu where the doctor told me that I was lucky that the monkey couldn’t scratch directly into my eye. Nevertheless I had a TT injection as they said I need it because there was blood on my skin (See the attachment picture). They wanted to give me Rabies immunoglobulin vaccinations too but as I wanted to consult my own doctor, I took those doze after getting back to my country. Di Bali Tour didn’t take any responsibility for this accident when we asked the driver to contact the company. Moreover, even after knowing all these, the sales director did not even apologize for it, instead the person tried to insult our country and here is what he said: “There some naughty monkeys, we knew it thats why we provide a guide to protect the customer. after we checking your booking, we knew you are from country maybe you dont need SERVICE or you dont know the quality of service.” legongayu, Director of Sales at Di Bali Tour, responded on March 13, 2020. Lastly, it appears to me that Di Bali Tour should either hire more active guides for the protection of their tourists or they should arrange an insurance policy to deal with such accidents for the safety of international tourists. In addition, the sales director of Bali seems to be highly unprofessional to reply tourists on Trip Advisor. When I say international tourists it means the communication level of English is should be decent enough to represent Indonesia on an international level. Anyway, I had so many other enjoyable and memorable experiences in my first time 1 week trip to Bali and would love to visit again. I loved the Balinese culture, people in general as they were very lively and co-operative. Namaskar.

This is the first time we come to bali, and we ask them to arrange our trip, we really want to go to Ubud, Handara gate, and Lempuyang temple so we ask them are we able to go to all those place. they suggest for the ubud tour only, and we don't think it's good enough, we want to go to all those places, but from everything they said we ended up to go to Lempuyang and Tirta Gangga but not to go to Ubud and handara. After arriving at Lempuyang, it was not so special because we visited the temple was very crowded with visitors, it took 2.5 hours to wait for the queue to take photos, but that's okay, because we were fascinated by the beauty of the temple, just a little disappointed because the situation is very uncomfortable. after that we went to Tirta Gangga temple, very nice, a pond full of fish and interesting photo spots. The Lesson: Before traveling, we must research, the distance and where the place is located, what we get there and how the situation is. also the distance between destination from 1 with others can be different from the map. and maybe we should trust in the tour agent that arranges the trip. over all is good, i'm really like guide and driver, they both so friendly and tell our everything about Bali i really don't recommended the Lempuyang tour if you don't like climbing the stairs and crowded situation. Thank You.
