Took this hike right before sunset, didnt quite reach the top, decided to descend due to darkness coming, made it roughly 75% of the way in about 1 1/2 hours. Its a steep trail that is paved 50% up, then non marked trail the rest of the way, dont worry about being amongst locals houses, some are sari saris, selling goods to help you along the way and the rest being friendly faces willing to point you in the right direction if youre unsure where to head. Take your time, breaks a plenty with views to enjoy, and watch your step. You will probably encounter chickens, goats, dogs, and cows on your journey, be friendly and quick and they will leave you be. If youre tired from walking up, there is a way to drive back down, normally by hiring a trike. Beautiful views that should be experienced by all. If you feel up for a workout i strongly suggest taking advantage of this hike. Yes there is trash, it could be cleaner, but try not to let it diminish your experience.

Taal Volcano is located about 60 km (about 37 miles) south of Metro Manila. Last major eruption was reported back in 1965 that affected villages in the surrounding area.
The place features a lot of sightseeing, activity and eating choices. The trek to the volcano shows the past sites of volcanic eruptions. Along the ridge, there’s a mini zoo, horseback rides and entertainment places like the Tagaytay Highlands. The place also features popular restaurants known for gourmet food, coffee and local beef dish called bulalo. Taal Volcano and Tagaytay present a lot of attractions that will satisfy every visitor or tourist.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hidden paradise. This was my second option to go to. When I arrived, i found it unique because before reach the beach, you have to pass by a rice field. The sand is fine and the water is crystal clear! Love to be back there again someday.
