With lush greens, five lakes and immaculately cut fairways, the Country Club course is a golfer's paradise. Also designed by Tom Fazio, this challenging 72 par, 7,060-yard course affords breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The 2006 World Golf Championships Barbados World Cup unfolded here.
Myself and 3 other fellows that were on our cruise decided to play golf at the Golf course and country club that Tiger Woods was married at. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Very scenic course and the country club is beautiful. I ate a flying fish sandwich after the golf. It is an expensive course but for me it was a once in a lifetime event so for me it was worth the cost.

The newest golf course in the Caribbean opened in December 2009. Apes Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level in the centre of Barbados. Located amongst a richly diverse landscape of rolling meadows, dense tropical forest, and coral stone quarries. The Club and its splendid amenities are establishing a new standard of excellence in the Caribbean. The developers, with a shared passion for creating communities designed to preserve and enhance their natural environments, have risen admirably to the challenge. The 470 acres of land has been divided into eight neighbourhoods with two two-thirds of the acreage ramaining as open space. Property owners have a selection of custom homes or semi-detatched villas which blend harmoniously with nature while affording unparalleled views of breathtaking scenery.
I've played other courses on the island, Green Monkey and Royal Westmoreland; but, this is my favorite by far! The views are fantastic, the course is challenging, but fun, and the staff was most accommodating. Stop at the patio bar afterwards for a cocktail and enjoy the view.

The Green Monkey, designed by Tom Fazio, is an ultra-exclusive 72 par, 7,343-yard golf course. Carved from an old limestone quarry, the exposed rock faces form dramatic contrasts to the lush, rolling greens of the fairways and offer tremendous elevation change - a once in a lifetime experience that is simply not to be missed.

Royal Westmoreland is an exclusive Barbados estate and country club, a gated community of luxury homes and holiday villas with exceptional facilities, including the world-class Royal Westmoreland championship 18 hole golf course. Spread across 750 acres of lush tropical landscape in the Parish of St James overlooking the Platinum coast, Royal Westmoreland offers the ultimate Caribbean lifestyle, for a holiday or for a lifetime.
Can’t get enough of this place. Played it multiple times throughout December 2020 and January 2021 so far. One of my all time favourite courses. Small pro shop, but friendly staff. Superb course condition throughout, amazing views, great design and some very memorable holes. My two favourite holes have to be the 6th with it’s tucked away hidden green and the 18th, elevated tee and elevated second shot on to separated green. Fantastic way to end a round. Nice clubhouse for drinks and lunch, and the best bacon and egg roll at the half way house for breakfast! An absolute must visit for golfers to the island. Expensive, but very much worth it.

This has been our favorite Barbados golf course for 12 years, and it just keeps getting better each year. Yes we’ve been to the high priced ones up island, nice, but didn’t get anywhere near the value for money and enjoyment at those. As advertised, Barbados Golf club is ‘affordable’ but that doesn’t mean rough. The Superintendent and his staff must be congratulated on keeping the greens fast, tricky to read but true. The fairways are wide, the rough short and, depending on the wind, the holes will seriously challenge your club selection ability. For our group of 18-20 handicappers, holes 4, 8, 16 and the signature 18th are tough but rewarding when we manage to get anywhere near par. This is a great test but great fun for us average golfers. And despite the scores, the abundance of flowers, trees in bloom lining the fairways, and the occasional green monkey, this course is a tonic. Finally, despite some comments to the contrary, the clubhouse staff has always been very friendly, polite and helpful. And on the course it is very unusual if the turf care staff don’t give you a friendly wave or acknowledge a good shot. Our 4’some doesn’t hesitate to highly recommend this course to our fellow Crane guests and any visitor to Barbados.
