The Rebirth of an Icon The Bamboo Bar is a landmark that personifies the passion, seductive elegance and spirit of both The Oriental Hotel and Bangkok's rich history. From humble beginnings in 1953 in what is now the hotel's renowned Authors' Wing, The Bamboo Bar grew in size and reputation to become an international legend. In late 2014, the bar closed for an extensive renovation, intended to propel this iconic establishment into the future whilst preserving its unique history and unique character. Welcome to the new Bamboo Bar - refreshed, remixed and reinvented.
My girlfriend and I went yesterday (a Saturday) for the first time to this great bar and we absolutely loved it! It is a well-kept little place, a touch above ordinary bars. Last night the bar was abuzz with people even though it was a national holiday, the weather wasn't the best and lest not forget the coronavirus. We arrived around 19:30 and there were a few available tables, later on the bar was packed! The live music starts at 20:00 so I highly recommend you going earlier to have a place since you cannot make reservations. We were there for about 2:30 hours and we could have easily spent the whole night there! We were truly captivated by the music played by the band. For me personally, it was really special since it was the first time I listened to jazz in a club. We had several signature cocktails and all of them were perfectly balanced. We loved all of them! My girlfriend and I will definitely come back soon.

A nice, cozy little bar on the fifth floor of the tiny Baan Wanglang hotel. The hotel is quite easy to find, not so far from the pier. The bar is on the fifth floor, which is also the highest floor of the hotel, it's not very spacious and the decoration is rather simple but gives out a relaxing vibe overall. We went there around 6:30 which is a little too late, we missed the sunset, it would have been really pretty! The outdoor seats are all taken/reserved so i highly recommend calling for reservation in advance. Even though we got the indoor seats, the view was amazing still and we had a great time there! Since we didn't tried any food here, i can only comment on the drinks, we got ourselves a beer (220THB) i think the price is acceptable, the average price of a glass of cocktail is around 250-300 THB. Would definitely come back!

Nice little beer bar. They have a selection of international beers and few on tap. Worth stopping by for a couple Thai or Asian beers.
