Took my son & nephews & neices to this National park cum safari cum Zoo. Its 16 kms from Bangalore city center. The safari ride is fantastic seeing tigers, lions just few feet away( from van windows). Nothing great about Zoo because its just a small area . They have a big car parking zone .

A well maintained biological park with trained staff. Like the way the forest department and other organisation follows the ecotourism practices. Glad to see ladies as the baggi drivers

The continuous rows of Banyan trees are a treat to behold. Though the monkeys play a spill sport grabbing what ever you are holding in your hand, this place is a treat to your eyes.

Butterfly park is located inside Bannerghatta National Park and can be easily located using google maps. There are frequent BMTC bus services to this place. Food stall and a few restaurants are located in the entrance of Bannerghatta National Park but there are none near Butterfly park. After the ticket counter at the entrance, there is a pathway with beautiful flowering shrubs and enormously huge trees on either sides. At the end of the pathway is a park or play area from children, a drinking water station, restrooms and some more benches to sit back, relax and enjoy the the tree shades, fresh air and the gushing sounds of wind. A large multicolored butterfly door welcomes the tourists into the butterflies' den, which is a pretty good spot from some pictures and selfies. There is also a man made pond with a few fishes swimming around and tortoises. A well maintained green house, houses a large variety of beautiful and colorful butterflies amid attractive flowering bushes and shrubs. A small stroll in this tiny trail is soothing, mesmerizing and refreshing. At the end of the trail is a butterfly museum. Entry ticket: Adults - 30 INR Children and senior citizens - 15 INR
