Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is located in a natural woodland which retains much of the original woodland and streams to provide the ideal natural setting for nearly 40 Birds of Prey & Owls. The centre is home to over 20 Owls, representing every native species as well as unique or unusual species from other parts of the world. See "Orla", and "Scout" our two magnificent female Golden Eagles. See a selection of hawks and owls fly during our daily flying shows in the flying area. Hear how these magnificent creatures have evolved to become the success predators they are, and how they live on the edge of survival every day. During current Covid restrictions we limit the number of visitors on site at any one time (currently 60). There are hand sanitisers located within the centre. We request everyone to abide by the social distancing guidelines.
I spent the morning with Stewart and Kevin on a hunting experience with the beautiful Inca the Harris Hawk. I had such a lovely morning with them, walking the fields overlooking Loch Lomond in the search of pheasants for Inca. After the experience we stayed for the flying display which was one of the best I’ve ever been to, Stewart and Kevin have so much passion for their birds, their knowledge and love really shows, which made the display so much more enjoyable. As others have mentioned, the centre is small, but if you rush around things then yes it’ll take 10 minutes but if you’re interested in the birds and take your time you could be there for hours! Thank you to the whole team at the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre!

The Sea Life Centre is one of my little boy's favourite places to go since he was a wee baby and so we go quite regularly regularly. Yes, it's smaller than some of the bigger Merlin aquariums, but the experience makes up for whatever the venue lacks in size. It's perfect for families as there are lots of things for kids to see and do. For example: Quiz sheets Sea Life info screens Interactive experiences (what a shark/octopus feels like etc) Educational boards Cinema (with information on endangered creatures) Interactive rock pools (touch a starfish and other sea life) Seasonal exhibits/experiences (e.g. themed Easter, Halloween and Christmas activities - go when one of these is on if you can, for better value) The staff are all very knowledgeable and love to let you know more about the creatures in the tanks. Plus they are all really good with kids too. Both of these things are appreciated more during coronavirus. Kids under 3 are free, so it's ideal for occupying toddlers. We use the local's pass which makes it cheaper but even without this I think we would go quite regularly. If you're an adult going without a family, you probably won't think this is a great attraction. Especially if you're glued to your phone the whole time, as the signal is poor in the aquarium. Coronavirus measures - Your temperature gets taken when you enter. Hand sanitiser is available at lots of points. Mask wearing mandatory in gift shop. Social distancing stickers and signs throughout (though some customers must be blind or bad at measuring). One group/family in the lift at a time. No live talks.
