I booked Jetbus return shuttle for 3 people 5-6 months before. Our flight from Sydney departed a couple hours later due to high winds. I was contacted by one of their drivers wondering where I was and when I told him he then informed me that if I’m not at Tullamarine airport before 11pm he won’t be there to shuttle us to our airport and to find my own transportation. Received the call just prior to boarding our flight. So no time to research other organisations or to have a discussion with this person. So he cancelled me. I asked if I would be refunded as Mother Nature has caused my delay not me personally and he said sure. The next day I cancelled our pickup shuttle due to their inconvenience to us the night before and leaving us three women stranded at their airport late at night. Again I requested a refund and again I was told sure. Well that was February 2019 and we are nearly into September 2019. 10 phone calls later and 6 emails later and still NOTHING. Everyone time I request to speak to the manager they are never there either they are off today, their shift hasn’t started yet, sick or Overseas. Very frustrating and disappointing. It would be great to actually hear from Jetbus manager seeing I’ve left my name and number multiple times. Even rang again TODAY 23/8/19 and the manager is...More

Our cruise ended in Melbourne and we had decided to stay there for a few days along with 3 other couples we were traveling with. Friends of ours had recommended Melbourne Private Tours and we are so glad they did. We booked 2 tours with them. The first was a city tour for the day we arrived. Dylan was our guide and he was terrific! He is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and made for a very fun day. We went to the Botanic Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance, cottages on the beach and saw lots of street art. Dylan also made sure we had plenty of time to explore the market. When we booked the tour we asked if it could include Jewish sites but since it was Saturday we were told we would only be able to see them from the outside. But Dylan and MPT went the extra mile and made arrangements with the synagogue so that we could visit towards the end of services. The synagogue was beautiful and the Rabbi and congregation were so welcoming and we were so moved, it is the most memorable experience of our trip. The next day we did the Great Ocean Road tour to the 12 Apostles. It was a 13 hour day and it was terrific. Our guide for this tour was Neil and he was great. He took us all along the coastal road where we saw amazing views and lots of surfers. We stopped at a wonderful coffee shop with delicious pastries. But I recommend not eating too much at the coffee shop because you don’t want to spoil your appetite for the fabulous lunch that comes a few hours later. Lunch was family style and the food was ready when we got there. It was so good we asked to meet the chef so that we could applaud him and his wonderful staff. Along the way Neil stopped at a few different locations so that we could see kangaroo, koalas and birds up close in the wild. Neil got a crimson rosella to sit on my husband’s hand and we got great pictures of a kookaburra. The 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge were amazingly beautiful and as an extra treat we saw an Echidna in the bushes. We had a fabulous time.

Departing Melbourne at around 8am, you'll pass through Western Plains of Victoria on the way to historic Ballarat. Ballarat boomed in the 1850’s with the widespread discovery of gold in the district. Learn a little about the history and enjoy morning tea at the site of the infamous Eureka Rebellion. Continue the drive through the picturesque western volcanic plains, passing through the town of Moyston, the birthplace of Australian Rules Football. Arrive at the foot of the Grampians Range known as Gariwerd in the local Jardwadjali language and immerse yourself in the Australian bush with a gentle stroll to Silverband Falls. Continue to the township of Halls Gap for lunch. Keep an eye open for the local kangaroos and the abundant birdlife that can be seen in the main street. After lunch, head to the Wonderland Turntable for a short hike to the Grand Canyon. Your last stop is MacKenzie Falls. No trip to the Grampians would be complete without a visit to these majestic falls.

Melbourne was easy to visit and to get around. Was blessed to have had a local family take me around. I also enjoyed my little trips by tram to the city centre. Was delighted to visit a Vietnamese local artist for a comedy with a sold out show. Beach a bit rough! Lovely drives along the coastal area. Also inland where I glimpsed at a kangaroo in the distance extremely shy. A good shopping experience at one of the malls. Had the priveledge to eat Vietnames food as well as India foods. A whole variety of Italian foods in a street and wonderful coffee shops all over town.

We arranged 4 private customized tours to the Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island and Mornington Peninsula. All our guides - Jessica, Julie and Francois, were wonderful. They were so friendly, great with the kids, knew all the best spots and good food, and totally flexible accommodating our preferences and leisurely pace. We tasted wine and fed wallabies, saw little fairy penguins, visited a chocolaterie, went strawberry picking, lunched at a vineyard /olive grove, and tree surfed at the Enchanted Adventure Garden. We took a walking tour with VIC rainbow tours, the day we arrived into Melbourne. We have been to Melbourne before but pretty much walked around aimlessly and mainly stuck to the shopping malls - we do love to shop! This walking tour was well thought out and gave us a better knowledge of getting around the city. We stopped at landmarks we would otherwise have just walked past, and being a LGBT guide, James gave it the slant that we were looking for. We also took a trip with him down the great ocean road - that’s certainly not to be misse.
