Things to do in Ayia Napa, Famagusta District: The Best Sightseeing Tours
This resort town, with its great beaches, has a bit of a Spring Break atmosphere (the parties start in the late afternoon and go all night). If dancing in a bikini is not your thing, though, no worries—you can explore a medieval monastery or enjoy cruises on the lovely blue water. We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

Fantastic day out, the tour guide was so informative and told us information about the history of the island and info on each stop in between so the drive to each destination was not boring. It did not stick exactly to the itinerary but we did not mind as it was all so interesting and we still visited places we would have missed if we did not do the tour. Highly recommend.

We really had a great tour with Chris who knew all the secret spots as a true local. He was very friendly and also helped with other local tips. We would never have found all the narrow beautiful streets on our own and it was so fun on the Segway!

Tuesday 28th May booked the catamaran elite cruise for adults via our jet2holidays rep - Andy - it was everything he told us it would be. Picked up from our hotel and taken to Green Bay to board Mediterranean lll. As we board we were greeted by Lee and his team from a East Coast Cruises with a glass of champagne, from then on we were treated like VIPs. Pastries of different types and fresh fruits was also available. We had several stops for swimming and plenty of information about the coast line as we sailed up to Famagusta. The swim stops were amazing in the beautiful blue waters of Cyprus, even those not so confident could alight the boat via steps with swim aids if needed. The captain Samous (think that’s how he spelt his name) had good knowledge of currents and if it was save to swim. Lunch was served on board which was plentiful and varied. Drinks of all kinds were available from the bar throughout the trip and nothing was too much trouble for the team. Returning to shore the captain put up the sails to give a very relaxed sail back giving us time to enjoy the views or to sunbathe - areas with shade were also available. The captain, his crew and the team from East Coast Cruises made the trip very memorable for me and my husband, well done guys ????. Thanks from us both.

Amazing staff/crew Eddie made it fun and informative, food was excellent and Covid-19 and general safety was paramount. There were 3 swim stops which you also use their kayaks and a paddle board if you wished. Would highly recommend this trip
9. Old Kakopetria & Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis UNESCO church (from Ag Napa)
The experience presents the traveller with two very authentic attractions in rural, semi-mountainous Cyprus. Both are highly recommended for those who want to experience the island's rich cultural heritage. The short walk next to the stream in Kakopetria adds a small natural component to the trip.
