We had a wonderful experience touring the highlights of Reims with Gwendol and Royal Journey this past September and I highly recommend you use him and his services! We had a limited amount of time in the area, and wanted to maximize seeing a few of the highlights. He designed an itinerary for us that balanced sight-seeing of priority spots for us (Reims cathedral, Hautvillers, Eparnay) with some relaxation time tasting champagne at a wonderful spot he recommended (L'Ecurie in Eparnay owned by Champagne de Venoge). Gwendol is very knowledgable, contributed informative, educational details about the various places we visited and was kind, easygoing and friendly. He rolled with the punches with our motley crew and made the whole touring experience so seamless and easy. Gwendol's Mercedes V class van was lovely, clean and comfortable, and he picked us up and dropped us off in a timely fashion at our rented property. Thank you, Gwendol, for providing us with such a lovely experience visiting the beautiful area of Reims.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We spent 2 1/2 hours with Marie-Antoinette and her team who guided us through the vineyards of Epernay and surrounding areas. We met the bus outside the Office de Tourisme on the Avenue de Champagne and spent the afternoon on the top deck of the bus in the sunshine - what's not to like?! Marie-Antoinette had hired an English speaking local winemaker to educate us about the champagne making process and she was also brilliant (thank you Patricia!). The price is good value (35 euro per person) for which we had the bus to ourselves and tasted two different champagnes on board. We also learnt the difference between the grapes in the vineyards etc and explored the local villages/vineyards as a result. We wish Marie-Antoinette, her husband and team every success - this is a wonderfully innovative way to explore the region, carried out in an informal and convivial way with wonderful hosts. Highly recommended - thank you.
