In 1895, in Lyon, the Lumière brothers invented the Cinematograph. In the magnificient family home, the Lumière museum presents the Lumière brothers' most remarkable invention. Discover the history of the Cinematograph, the Autochromes (the first color photos), and its inventors. Also visit, in front of the museum, the famous First film Warehouse, where was shot the first Lumière movie : Factory exit. Today, it is home to the Institut Lumière cinema with its daily programs.
The Lumiere brothers, the fathers of cinema, and the world’s first motion picture was created in Lyon. Very informative displays. This city is a gem for the art livers.

Moving and sobering at the courage of the Maqui who would not submit to surrender or the tyranny of the Nazi occupiers. The exhibits were powerful and I was grateful they had explanations in English. I left the museum with some new historical heroes. Viva La Maqui. Thank you to the museum for it's preservation of this important history to France and the world in my humble opinion.

The nougat museum is a special place in Montélimar that traces the history of nougat, as well as the legacy of the Arnaud Soubeyran House, through displays, videos, art exhibits, photos and a special "hands-on" discovery trail for children. Every day until 1 pm you can observe the activity of the factory! Enjoy our shop and our delicious restaurant (lunch/ tea room).
Family run nougat Fabrique Arnaud Soubeyran made a great decision to show the history of their fabrique and nougat making process for all of us. Interactive and interesting museum. You can understand the history and the making process before and now of these delicious nougat candies. A great place to spend couple of sweet hours.

Situated on the outskirts of the touristic city of Montelimar, the Museum has one of the most magnificent collections of aircraft and engines in South Eastern France. It is one of the major sites dedicated to the preservation of our aviation heritage in South Eastern France. Most of our aircraft were fully restored at the museum.
