The majestic Austrian Alps stretch across the country, an awe-striking area of Ice Age valleys, verdant heaths and alluvial cones within Europe's largest national park, 700-square-mile Hohe Tauern. Taking in the dramatic cities of Salzburg and Innsbruck and the beautiful province of Tirol, home to spectacular skiing and hiking, as well as Gross Glockner, Austria's highest peak, and some of the world's best winter and summer sports playgrounds, the Austrian Alps are an outdoor lover's paradise.

The Cave is a Niederau institution - now celebrating it's 50th Birthday! Underneath the Hotel Staffler in the centre of the Village it offers Sports, Chill Out and Dance bars and live music most nights. Open every evening there is no entry charge and pub prices for drinks and a fantastic atmosphere.

The Jam Jar is a great apres ski bar with excellent live bands most nights of the week. The added bonus about the Jam Jar is that it's totally non smoking, making it a great place to spend a few hours after you come off the slopes.

This popular bar is usually packed with relaxing skiers.
This was my first ski holiday and so my first experience of apres ski. Wow! Absolutely amazing place. Had so much fun. Everyone was so friendly and great to see everyone really enjoying themselves. Can’t wait to go back again.

If you can’t to sit in a chair and look at Instagram all day, this is not the place for you! This is all in after ski with strangers singing along songs you didn’t know and when it’s full, you just stand on a table and keep singing, the staff I wonderful as long as you don’t acts like a moron or dushbag, and i have been there with gay friends and that have never been a problem, it’s not a cocktail bar but afterskis are all about celebrating tired legs and big smiles after a perfect day in the slopes, de live band is open to any songs and all sing along. Just magic! Been crowned to “best afterski”! in Europe by Swedish “åka skidor” and a place with higher tolerance is har to find. Always my first stop when I get to Bad Gastein
