I’ll start off with my rocky start with a taxi driver scamming me even with knowing how much the average cost of a ride from the airport to my apartment would’ve been by using Yandex.Taxi and inDriver (the latter let’s you test before using) so what should’ve been a 500 Tenge ride on average at that time of night soon turned into 30,000 tenge. I said fine only because the taxi driver had said 5000 tenge and after flying for two days straight (time zones included) I just wanted to sleep in my apartment. However the taxi had someone follow us to make sure I paid more. However after my first few nights of talking to the locals and sight seeing I met one of Zhanel’s friends who introduced me to her. From the start she was very helpful and even helped me with the police about the taxi driver, I eventually got my money back due to Zhanel helping me. Zhanel has been very helpful and informative of the region and knows her stuff and history of the area. I had told her about wanting to visit Alzhir and she offered to take me there and give a history on the memorial. If you wish to have professional service, helpful and courteous people, but even people who you will for sure become friends with. I will definitely recommend coming back to Kazakhstan in general, but also to use this service ))

I travelled to Nur-sultan AKA Astana for a short business trip and had a few hours to kill before my flight so contacted this company to see if they can arrange a tour for me. It was short notice but they arranged the tour and the drop off to airport. My guide was Kamilla - young lady who is passionate to introduce her country and an ambassador representing the hospitality of Kazakhstan. I enjoyed my half day tour and highly recommend their service.

I just want to say thank you to ACT for organizing an interesting, comfortable, convenience day trip for me to Burabai, hosted by the brilliant Genghis and our excellent driver Serge. I had one day to go sightseeing outside of Nur-Sultan and this package perfectly aligned with my schedule. Genghis was warm and friendly from the moment he picked me up at our meeting point. Serge whisked us away in a very comfortable and clean car to Burabai. I learned so much during my conversation with Genghis, got to see the awesome natural beauty of the magical green Burabai forest in the middle of the steppe, and made it home in time for a delicious dinner at a restaurant recommended by Genghis and Serge. The day wouldn't have been complete without picking up a delicious jar of honey at a roadside farmer's market. Thank you Genghis and Serge for an amazing day! Kate Liebelt

Nur-Sultan 020000, Kazakhstan Explore Central Asia

Nur-Sultan is the symbiosis of past and future in present, it is the city where any person has his own vision and opinion on Nur-Sultan. You may find that the capital is a glass city from future, consisting of unusual buildings tailored by the foreign architects – it is the Pyramid, as well as “Khan Shatyr”, which author is Sir Norman Foster; it is the heritage of the EXPO exhibition, the theme was “Future Energy”. The bird Samruk seems to protect the “Independence Square”; sitting on the top of “Kazakh Yeli” Monument, it guards peace and independence and if you just let yourselves day-dream, you could imagine that the bird is flying over the “Palace of Peace and Reconciliation” and taking a rest at the pond in the President’s Park. The “Independence Square” and “Nurzhol” Boulevard are connected by the bridges over the Yesil (Ishim) River, they prolong the “Millennium Axis” in which conventional centre the main monument of the country “Bayterek” is located.

Pre-revolutionary houses of the local merchants, soviet buildings of the workers operating in frame of Virgin land campaign – the spirit of the past still presents in air of the city. But if you cross a bridge to the left embankment of the city, you feel that the past is left behind the “glass”, and you plunge into expanses of new sense of the modern architecture. And if we say that the right embankment of Nur-Sultan is a history and building of the capital, then the left embankment is an oasis of new ideas and their implementation. 10. City tour: four building of Sir Norman Foster

Nur-Sultan 020000, Kazakhstan Explore Central Asia

Nur-Sultan has different directions to develop, this city as a living body undergo transformation each of spiritual and physical. The capital is mottled by elements of a new breath, therefore this comes as no surprise that the buildings created by Norman Foster take their own places. More glass, more air and more pieces for peace in the world – the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation particularly created for the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The Pyramid is understood as earnest of future peace for further global development, and moreover, it is earnest of continuity of heritage, preserved in “Nazarbayev Centre” – the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the building of which reminds the “All-Seeing Eye”, seeing everything beyond.
