RED VEIN Escape

RED VEIN has been in the entertainment and attraction business since 2011. We opened RED VEIN Haunted House at Hanover Vegetable Farm in 2016 and are very excited to open up RED VEIN Escape, our year round, multi-escape room game experience in downtown Ashland.

What a BLAST! Outstanding - We've done more than 10 Escape rooms. This one by far is the most creative and the storyline ties into the local community (so you can really get into it!). Props were outstanding and everything is in excellent condition. The place is extremely clean and exudes enthusiasm. This is not a chain so the creativity and condition is spot on. We did it in the evening with a total of 4 people which helped the imagination go wild. If you go, I would recommend doing Phobia as well. Truly a great way to top off your experience and get energized for the Hunt or either and the night. I look forward to doing their dinner theater and new Escape room which launches in a few weeks (April 2020?).

RED VEIN Haunted House

RED VEIN Haunted House is Richmond's scariest indoor/outdoor haunted attraction. Created by RED VEIN ARMY in 2016 and located at Hanover Vegetable Farm, which is just 10 miles from Short Pump and 20 miles from downtown Richmond. We've been featured in or on NBC12, WRIR, Style Weekly, Richmond Magazine, and RVA Magazine. Where Richmond goes for horror!

My wife and I are huge "haunted attraction" fans and I had been hearing some positive buzz about Red Vein, so we decided to head down from the Philly area to check it out! We have seen some of the best shows in the country (Netherworld/The Darkness/13th Gate/etc) , so it takes a lot to impress us! I have to say that this haunted attraction is now on our list of favorites and highly recommend a visit! While the attraction is called "Red Vein Haunted House", it is much more than an indoor haunted house attraction as much of the haunt is located outdoor on trails... which only adds to the ambiance! There are several elements that make an excellent haunt, which include high startle scares, sound elements, lighting and good actors - this place has all of them covered to perfection! I also loved how they had a specific storyline to follow throughout the attraction rather than the tired/cliched elements and scenes that we see almost everywhere else (the few of us who travel to these things know what I mean - lame 3D glow walls, circus clowns, hillbillies, toxic waste, etc.... boring!). We visited the first time slot with VIP on Halloween night so we didn't have a long wait. We also visited during covid, so hopefully this part of the review will be irrelevant next season, but they did a fantastic job of spacing folks and keeping everyone safe. In some ways, this was a perfect time to go as you only went through the haunt with the folks that you came with. I believe that they normally group guests together, which is common practice to avoid ridiculous queue times. Don't miss this one if you love high quality haunted attractions!

Ashland Theatre

The historic Ashland Theatre is currently owned by the town and run by volunteers. It hosts a wide variety of entertainment programming including movies, concerts, dinner theater, visits with Santa and much more. Plans are afoot to restore the theater and secure professional operations staff in the coming months.
