Part of our trip included a trip both the walking safari as well as a canoe ride in Arusha national park. This day trip adventure was great for getting up close and personal with giraffes and Cape Buffaloes. This is the second time we did the walking safari and it did not disappoint. You are accompanied by a park ranger and a guide who take you along the path about an hour around the grassland to see grazing cape buffaloes and giraffes to a nice waterfall. On a clear day you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro as well. On the canoe trip we were able to get pretty close to beautiful birds we saw hippos and and have a nice lunch by the water. We were lucky to get very close to giraffes who are pretty use to seeing people around and let you get pretty close. Beautiful day trip for young children and seniors with an effortless walk and very safe.

Kilakitu Tanzania Safaris was a great tour company: easy booking online, speedy reply from manager within the same day when I had questions, we spent 19 days in Tanzania, we went all national parks, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara, Mikumi, Tarangire, Ruaha, and some couple days we spent with Maasai, Hadzabe, Sotho, Students and disabled Children at (Pambazuka Tanzania). Our tour operator was very nice and always had a smile on his face, he had cold water and refreshing cold towels soaked in tiger balm (seemed like menthol?) that was a very relaxing break from the heat. Our tour guide Sylvester Nelson was fantastic! He spoke very good English and Francaise and was very knowledgeable about the history of the wildlife as well as the history of Tanzanian people’s culture. I have never learned so much about a country when I have traveled, it was a great experience. Nelson was very patient and offered to take over 1000 wonderful pictures for us that we will enjoy forever. He also pointed out the best picture spots to us at every place we visited, and all of the pictures turned out great! I really enjoyed Tanzani national park (swimming in the large waterfall), it was a great addition to the safaris. Long explanation for bring plenty of US Dollars!!!! There are many cute children selling souvineers (mostly for one us dollar), It made me sad to always say no, but I never had single 1 dollars on hand. If I came back again I would bring plenty of $1 bills to just hand out to the children. Tanzania was one of the most beautiful places I have visited, and the people were very nice and gracious. I would recommend Tanzania to anyone who enjoys either history or nature, and would highly recommend Kilakitu Tanzania Safaris for the great private tour services they provide.
