Things to do in Aruba, Aruba: The Best Sights & Landmarks

December 1, 2021 Janean Rudisill

Aruba is the quintessential Caribbean island, all sun and sea and stretches of powdery white sand. Time will slow to a pleasant crawl as you linger over a tropical cocktail or flutter serenely underwater, where only the parrotfish are in a hurry. The pastel façades of Oranjestad landmarks and shops lend an inviting and playful vibe to the capital city. Enjoy the shade of an Eagle Beach divi tree while the crashing waves of turquoise water create a soothing soundtrack just for you.

An organic farm in Alto Vista. We toured the fields of organic vegetables and prepared a local Aruban dish of CREAMY PUMPKIN AND PLANTAIN SOUP and KESHI YENA... we dined with couples from Wisconsin and Corning NY. A truly beautiful experience in Aruba away from all the busy touristy places. This is the real Aruba...thanks to our host Suzette. Fabulous evening.

A submerged 120-foot barge on Malmok reef offers excellent diving experiences.

Excellent dive - Reef and wreck are close together and easily accessible on one dive. Spotted eagle ray, turtles, moray eels, and lots of reef fish. The wreck is relatively recent and is attracting a great deal of sea life as it begins to mature. It is also easy for penetration diving.

The karts are pretty fast and the track is well designed. Vacationers put this on your to do list!!!
