The place is beautiful and green. Sadly, because of the Covid pandemic, you can't visit the museum. You can visit the village museum. It is beautiful and has a loooot of houses from different regions. It also has equestrian lessons..but again, because of the pandemic, they are not available.

The site of the infamous political prison of Pitesti, where over 600 students were tortured by the communists between 1949-1951. Pitesti Prison was buil in 1941 and it functioned as a prison until 1977. During its functioning, thousands of political prisoners were brought here. From 1949 until August 1951, the penitenciary housed the most violent action in the communist world - Pitesti Phenomenon.
You have to visit it. It is one of the few memorials in the country about communist prisons and is the place where the most terrible actions of re-education of detainees took place. And has the best organized exhibition about what happened in Romania.
