田舎館村と言えば、有名になった「田んぼアート」です。１０年以上前から開催された田んぼアートは、年を追う毎に精巧になり芸術的な領域となっています。これが全て、種類の違う稲の色分けを微妙に配置して植えられているアート作品なのです。第１会場がここ田舎館村役場の展望台ですが、天守閣みたいな展望台から下の田んぼアートを見る形となります。以前から一度寄ってみたいと思っていましたので、青森ねぶたの帰りに訪れました。夏休みでもあり５０分待ちでした。特に土日はもっと時間がかかるみたいです。料金は２００円。エレベーターで展望台へ。ポスターや写真で見るより、やはりスケール感が違います。迫力がスゴイです。細かい部分まで再現されており、今年の「風と共にさりぬ」は素晴らしい出来でした。是非とも１０月２１日まで開催されているので、機会がある方は実物を見て欲しいものです。
