Kalandula Falls (formerly Duque de Braganca Falls) are waterfalls in the municipality of Kalandula, Malanje Province, Angola. On the Lucala River, the falls are 105 meters (344 feet) high and 400 meters (1,300 feet) wide. They are one of the largest waterfalls by volume in Africa. The distance from Luanda is 360 km.
Nature at its greatest splendor. The view from above is fabulous. The inn´s restaurant is very good and has a terrace where you can contemplate the beauty of the waterfalls.

This view is spectacular, 300 meters wide and 1 km straight down. It's 18km from Lubango centre and if you're camping there's a great place "tundavala camp" close by that's being upgraded.

Mussulo it’s very good option to retreat or escape from the city. But still everything in average. Price, cleanliness or facilities don’t expect to much. You can go solo and then you can make a list what you have to bring with you. Don’t forget sun cream)). If you’re in Luanda definitely you must visit. Why it’s five star under circumstances of Angola. ;)

Kissama (Quicama) national park is only 70 Km away from Luanda and it's perfect for a one day trip, I booked a local company where they took me from my hotel in the morning and back the same night (other type of trips also available). The park has also a Lodge where you can spend a night or more. It is useless to compare this safari experience with other African country like Kenya or South Africa. However, if it happens to be in Angola already, then it's a perfect activity. Not all typical safari animals are in the park, we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, one type of buffalos (not sure which one) and multiple types of gazelles.
