VISITS ONLY BY PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT. THE WINE CELLAR OF THE “DESCALZOS VIEJOS”, was founded in the year 2000 and specially restored for the purpose of wine-making by The architects Francisco Retamero and Flavio Salesi and their respective wives, Chelo Porras and Mariela Grana. It is situated in the chapel of a sixteenth century Trinitarian monastery, perched on the higher slopes of the impressive Tajo of Ronda.
This was such an awesome winery to visit! It was a completely private tour with myself and my wife with the owner. It was great! The winery itself is an old monastery from the 1500's. It was amazing to see the grounds and the history, as well as having amazing wine! Miguel was an amazing host!

Bodegas Morosanto, founded in 2005, is located in the old Cortijo Morosanto farmhouse in La Cimada, Ronda, on the head-waters of the Guadalcobacin River basin, at the foot of the Sierra de las Cumbres and just 10 km from the roman city of Acinipo. The estate is around 30 hectares, mainly given over to growing vines, with some olives tres and holm oaks. morosanto wines come as the culmination of a hard work in the vineyard, careful and natural development and harmoniusly aged. Mediterranean-style, strong personality, powerful and elegant.
