I really can't say I've got to grips with Norway after my recent Covid secure trip there up the ffjirds on a cruise ship with other sufferers of my particular condition. One small issue is it's always said that all Norwegians speak English but I definitely met several who hadn't a clue what I was talking about when ordering pork chops on one of our excursions inland to Innlanden so that aspect was disappointing. Also I learned that a Smurfasbord is a kind of buffet similar to the English buffet but with fewer items from the yellow food groups such as our much loved crisps and cheese. Mr Gudmunjohansennn the ships croupier talked me through it in impeccable Norwegian so I had to deduce what he was saying from his admirable skill at pointing at things and either smiling or frowning. Was glad to get home to Sharon and normality.

I went on this trip end of July and the guide (Trond, who is also the owner) did a great job making me feel comfortable and informed during the entire trip. I was the only one that booked at this day, and he maintaned that LocalTrips never cancel, so we went none the less. Right from the get go It was evident to me that I could ask any questions and if I wanted to focus on something specific on the tour, he would be more than happy to accommodate. The only time we had to be hard on was so that we made it to the boat taking us across waters (obviously). Otherwise I could take my own when walking the Waterfall Road or through the main road of Geiranger. The highlight for me was the first the Geiranger Fjord as it is simply spectacular with all the waterfalls and steep mountains around. Trond was nice enough to take some photos of me and he always knew some great spots to get some really nice pictures! Can't recommend it enough and If you go on this trip then make sure you get off your phone, look up and breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the scenery as the atmosphere at several of the locations were really nice. Added some photos even though they don't do the nature justice and even got one with Trond (no we did not plan on matching our jackets haha!)
This is a trip where you set the rules. You decide where to stop and how long. Your guiding driver give some advice for where to go. Standard price includes 6 hours. Extra hours will be added. Also ferries and tollroads will be added depending on your choice of route.
