Amsterdam's most famous park was designed and built in 1850 and today is a popular place for tourists and residents who can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, jogging and picnicking.
Such a pretty park and the perfect location if you’re hiring bikes and worried about cycling on the road! The park also offers and restaurant and a pub so you don’t even have to leave for refreshments.

I’ve been with my family and we enjoyed so much. There is a couple of small farms when you can see some animals like cangaroos and cows and a lot of play areas. The only thing is you can’t ride your bike inside so if your kids don’t walk jet be prepared!

The park itself is very beautiful and leafy. There's lots of benches where you can relax and eat your picnic lunch. The park is clearly favored by locals and there are lots of dog walkers. Some cute dogs were interested in our sandwiches. The dogs are however very well trained. Although Amsterdam can be hectic, this is a peaceful place.

An oasis of relative calm in a very busy part of Amsterdam. The walk-through fountain is great fun if you have a kiddie with you or, like me, you have a kiddie within. It kept my 7y old granddaughter entertained for 20 minutes+. You will get wet but it's only water! It's a small garden with interesting artwork ranging from a bust of a Roman Emperor to two spiders wrestling. The cafe wasn't rip-off expensive. Worth a visit.
