Allentown, is the largest of the three Pennsylvania cities that make up the Lehigh Valley. Formerly an industrial hub, Allentown is probably most well known as the subject of the eponymous Billy Joel song. The long history of Allentown has left it with an impressive architectural heritage that includes buildings such as the neo-Roman Art Museum, which contains a reconstructed room designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The city is also home to the Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom amusement park.

Lots of delicious choices - fresh meats, veggies, fruit, nuts, fish, coffees, ice cream, candies, pastries - it’s all here! Some stands have ready to eat prepared meals to eat on site or take out. There’s even a natural doggie treat store! Open Thurs, Fri, and Sat only. Definitely worth the trip! Find your favorite. I suggest Heffelfinger’s coffees and Stolzfus meats. But seriously, soooo many great shops to try! Take your shopping bags!

The Colony Meadery turns honey into delicious alcoholic beverages. With 15-20 meads available at any given time, The Colony has a wide array of flavors and styles, from dry to sweet. Located in an old Mack Truck factory with a brewery and distillery, The Colony Meadery is a great place to learn about a beverage that is both ancient and brand new.
The Colony Meadery is a nice local spot to try some of their award winning meads. I would call it artistry in a bottle. The meads are all exceptional and you can tell that much thought is put in each and every bottle. There is a brewery and a distillery all at the same fun location. You can walk around and mingle at the different places. Fun time and great people.

The Xplorer Spirits team treks the globe in search of exotic botanicals that will transport the discerning Xplorer to distant lands. Their 1,000 gallon Still and a smaller 250 liter one distills their spirits 12 times for a silky-smooth taste. Its no doubt then that their spirits are exclusive processed using a proprietary 24 karat gold method resulting in a velvety-pure finish and the winners of 5 medals: 2 platinum, 2 silver and a bronze. Come for the moonshine that customers have claimed to be 'better than your grandma's apple pie!' and stay for the vodka which will make expensive imported vodka seem like a thing of yesterday. But most of all, experience the adventure and spirit of curiosity at Xplorer Spirits in their 4,000 square feet distillery, an ode to the highest mountain in Africa - Mt. Kilimanjaro, at Kilimanjaro Distillery.
