This bronze statue of a Dutch Cheesegirl is a gift from CONO Kaasmakers, renowned for making Beemstercheese, and designed by Gerard Velzeboer and created by Fabio Pravisani. Local 'cheesegirl' Denise van Dort modelled for the statue and gave her her first kiss on the reveal in july 2016.
