A local recommended us to buy wine there and she was right to have done so. The Piemontese wine selection is wide (but not huge if focused on Barolo & Barbaresco), and prices more than fair (compared to the various enotecas we visited in Barolo, Barbaresco, and the surrounding villages). Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There’s also a large selection of French wines, champagne, and whiskies/rum. All in all, make sure you buy your wine there as it is good value for money, and has wide-enough variety.

Prices for white truffles this year has gone up now $3.5 per gram and $0.85 per gram for white and black truffles in euro, respectively. We always go back annually to this shop, run by an italian couple who are honest. To tell a good truffle u need to smell the intensity of the frangance and also the feel of the truffle should be hard like a rock once it starts to feel soft it means its going bad.

In the heart of Alba historical center, in what we call "artists street", we present our new Wine shop. Just 20 my from our Locanda (restaurant and hotel). More than 850 kind of wines at the best prices ever.
The family owned wine shop in the center of Alba is worth the 45 minute drive from our house. We go every year, since we simply cannot find another shop with such a wide selection from the region. The owner is talkative and tells you detailed stories about each winery. Since we don’t speak Italian, it’s a huge advantage that he is so good at English. The the family owned restaurant next door as well, for a taste of the wines and the superb food cooked by their new chef.
