I was in Costa Rica in January, now I have traveled to Colombia. I have waited several months but I cannot shake how HORRIBLE this tour was. We were supposed to have a tour bus but was instead packed into a sedan. At some point the tour guide was alluding to us going to a nicer restaurant and having us pay for his lunch because the office "did not send the money over" for the included meal. I have been on many tours before and many after but this one was easily the worst. Our tour guide was out taking pictures of his own on every site instead of actually guiding us. What took the cake was when we thought we were going to see a coffee plantation but instead he pulls over on the side of the road to a ditch to show us mounds of dirt that supposedly were growing coffee and he said he couldn't take us to an actual plantation because "The Nicaraguans are harder working and the Costa Rican youth are always on their phones now so it won't be worth it". We paid 100+ dollars EACH for a glorified taxi ride across the country. 0/10 don't recommend

We travelled in August 2019 with 2 boys aged 9 and 11. Had THE most amazing time! Thank you to Kristina and the team at Costa RIcan Trails. From the moment we landed everything went smoothly. Cannot fault the accommodation, exactly as planned and to meet our requirements. They helped juggle the tours to meet our needs, arranged private transfers so we had time out on our own for the long journeys. Made excellent recommondations and just all in all and fantastic experience. Our tour was: 2 nights Torguguero at Mawamba Lodge 2 nights Puerto Viejo at Azania Bungalows 1 night Boca Tapada at Maquenque Lodge - Treehouse (unbelievable) 2 nights Arenal at Arenal Springs (loved the hot springs at the hotel) 2 nights at Monteverde Lodge & Springs All the recommended tours were amazing. Hikes to see wildlife, white water rafting, horse riding, zip lines just a memorable holiday. We then flew to Florida Keys on the way home for some R&R which was needed after packing it in!!

We had the trip of a lifetime and that is not an exaggeration! A much needed girls trip for some hard working mamas and we could NOT have had a more memorable trip! We could not have had this experience though without the help of Jordan! I was so fortunate to have been put in touch with her because she helped plan the most amazing trip for us! From the second we stepped off the plane we were greeted and guided throughout our stay. She planned our transportation, excursions, recommended an outstanding private chef and communicated with us the whole entire trip! Even down to scheduling a doctor coming to our house to do Covid-19 tests for everyone so we had an easy reentry into the states. We did a zip lining excursion, a waterfall tour and more. Costa Rica is truly PURA Vida and if you want to make sure you have the best experience make sure you ask for Jordan!!
